MAGSi is a small, home-based Canadian business that has been in operation since 1998. Our primary field of experience is in interactive web site design, from small “business card” web sites, to large, interactive web sites that provide online database access, using tools such as MySQL, PHP and Javascript. We have performed graphics work for both print and web applications, including logo and business card design, as well as image creation, editing and manipulation. We have also performed web site maintenance and update activities, as well as complete web site redesigns.

We have experience in running online communities; responding to user requests, coordinating online activities, moderating online discussions.

We have recently diversified our company into the area of technical writing. We have almost 20 years of experience in this area, as well as very specific training in the synthesis of large amounts of technical information into summary reports and briefing notes.

We have good French language skills as well as excellent technical and IT skills.

With her excellent eye for design, it makes sense that Carol is the lead designer at MAGSi. She has accumulated more than 10 years of experience building web sites and designing graphics. She is self-motivated and always strives to improve her skills and learn new techniques. By embracing this change, MAGSi's motto is "Infinite Possibilities!" She loves to learn, and prefers not to say "that can't be done," but rather tackles challenges with an enthusiastic "Great! I get to learn something new!" Her skills include PHP, MySQL, CSS and Javascript, as well as basic HTML. She loves doing web graphics, and has significant additional experience integrating and running online communities.

Brian has a Bachelors of Engineering in Digital Design and a Masters of Science in Defence Technology. He has very good French language skills and is a very skilled writer. He possesses a Level III security clearance. He excels at taking large amounts of detailed technical information and synthesizing it into one, easy to understand, chart, table, presentation or image. He has had specific training at writing information summaries for upper management, condensing voluminous reports into one- or two-page briefing notes. He has excellent oral presentation skills, as well as technical computer knowledge. He runs the books at MAGSi, and also keeps all the computers up and running.
